Strengthen our Educational System

If we have to strengthen our educational system, make it better than we shall have to start with the teacher because excellence has to emanate from them. While formulation a new framework for our educational system, we must give thought to them first. As the Vice-Chancellor has remarked, if we want to progress in the present-day world, and if India has to rapidly develop and go ahead, it is essential that we set of ourselves high standards of ideals and objectives. We have to rise and complete with other educational institutions in the world. If our institutions are secound class, naturally they will produce mediocrities. I do not want to blame any individual for this. But the weakness is in system. Today the foremost task is to achieve excellence. How should we improve it further? Only buy developing our skills can we achieve raped progress towards the goal of a strong India.
What is the position today? In India nine out of eleven students taking school certificates join universities. This does not happen anywhere else in the world, In other parts, only one out of 10 joins university. This does not mean that our students are better theirs, it only means that in other countries 90 percent people are not required to hold university degree. Conversely there is not enough employment here for the university degree holders. There are many people who hold degrees but there are not enough employment opportunities for them. We have to reverse this.

यदि हमें अपनी शैक्षिक प्रणाली को मजबूत करना है, तो बेहतर होगा कि हमें शिक्षक के साथ शुरुआत करनी होगी क्योंकि उत्कृष्टता से उन्हें मुक्त करना होगा। हमारी शैक्षिक प्रणाली के लिए एक नई रूपरेखा तैयार करते समय, हमें उन्हें पहले विचार देना चाहिए। जैसा कि कुलपति ने टिप्पणी की है, यदि हम वर्तमान समय में दुनिया में प्रगति करना चाहते हैं, और यदि भारत को तेजी से विकास करना है और आगे बढ़ना है, तो यह आवश्यक है कि हम अपने आप को आदर्शों और उद्देश्यों के उच्च स्तर पर स्थापित करें। हमें दुनिया के अन्य शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के साथ उठना और पूरा करना है। यदि हमारे संस्थान एकांत वर्ग हैं, तो स्वाभाविक रूप से वे औसत दर्जे का उत्पादन करेंगे। मैं इसके लिए किसी व्यक्ति को दोष नहीं देना चाहता। लेकिन कमजोरी सिस्टम में है। आज सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कार्य उत्कृष्टता प्राप्त करना है। हमें इसे और कैसे सुधारना चाहिए? केवल अपने कौशल का विकास करके ही हम एक मजबूत भारत के लक्ष्य की दिशा में बलात्कार की प्रगति को प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
आज क्या स्थिति है? भारत में स्कूल प्रमाणपत्र लेने वाले ग्यारह छात्रों में से नौ विश्वविद्यालय में शामिल होते हैं। यह दुनिया में कहीं और नहीं होता है, अन्य हिस्सों में, 10 में से केवल एक विश्वविद्यालय में शामिल होता है। इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि हमारे छात्र बेहतर हैं, इसका मतलब केवल यह है कि अन्य देशों में 90 प्रतिशत लोगों को विश्वविद्यालय की डिग्री रखने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। इसके विपरीत विश्वविद्यालय के डिग्री धारकों के लिए यहां पर्याप्त रोजगार नहीं है। कई लोग ऐसे हैं जो डिग्री तो लेते हैं लेकिन उनके लिए रोजगार के पर्याप्त अवसर नहीं हैं। हमें इसका उल्टा करना है।
